mediocre experience with some letdowns

the hotel features a swimming pool right next to the beach, acceptable.
My room reeked of chlorine. The bathroom was not clean as i would have hoped. i mentioned this to the front desk, but they did nothing about it. they didn't move me to a different room, and they didn't fix the problem.

the food at the buffet was very repetitive. it was NOT what i expect from a supposed five-star hotel. the variety was limited, and the quality was underwhelming. it REALLY seemed like they were cutting corners.

The all-inclusive experience was not great. i felt shortchanged since our allowance ended at noon on our last day, even though we were staying until 7 pm. the evening buffet was also inconsistent.

The room had a balcony with a lovely sea view. I enjoyed full frontal sea views from room 305. The beach at this hotel is lovely. I found all the staff pleasant and helpful.
The sunloungers by the pool could use a cushion. I thought the bread basket lacked imagination. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.

I booked a room overlooking the beach, it said it was spacious. I felt it wasn't. I had to ask for some furniture to be removed to give us space, because we were near the end of the corridor and the rooms appear to get smaller, we did complain but they didn't have another room. The evening entertainment is every evening at the front of the hotel. It was loud music, so you couldn't sit on the balcony if you just wanted to look at the bay. The music was very loud.
